Family Dinner

Family Dinner, a table set with four place settings. The plates are handmade ceramic plates with found family photos cyanotypes on them. Those in the photos are relatives I never really got to know, not fully. Some I only knew when I was too young to remember much. Others lived far away, and the time we spent together was limited, often just in their final moments. This dinner is a way of bringing them back, even if just symbolically. With their images on the plates, makes them present at the table, setting a place for them, acknowledging their presence in my life.
